Building Permits

1. Permits Notification Process

 

 

 

Starting March 1, the City of Plano Building Inspections Department will send an email notification to contractors with issued permits. The notification addresses permits expiring in the next 30 days, and permits that have expired prior.

It is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure all inspections have been completed. Contractors who choose not to follow through with the inspection process and allow a permit to expire will have 10 working days from the email notification date to renew the expired permit. If this period concludes with no action, contractor registration will be placed on hold. Contractors with registrations on hold will be unable to schedule inspections or pull permits.
